Hardware / Operating System
Any computer that can run a Standard Java Runtime Environment can run
the NumericalChameleon. See also the
system requirements for the JRE.
Java Runtime Environment
In order to run the NumericalChameleon, you need a Java Runtime Environment
(JRE). You can get it
for free
for your platform/operating system. It is required to have at least the JRE
version 8. It is recommended to install JRE 9 or later. For Microsoft
Windows, GNU/Linux, macOS and Solaris please click on the icon below. For
other operating systems, please ask your operating system vendor for a
suitable JRE.
Disk space
In addition to the disk space requirement by the JRE (approx. 100 MB), it is
required to have at least 5 MB diskspace for the NumericalChameleon. If you
install plug-ins for the NumericalChameleon, you should reserve at least 25
MB additional diskspace.
Memory
You should have at least 128 MB physical memory installed, see also the
system
requirements for the JRE.
